“To” & “From” Songs, Vol. 1

Here begins a new three-part series (I know, I know, I know!) featuring songs with the words "To" and "From" in their titles. Since these words are so common, I limited myself to choosing only songs with titles that BEGIN with one of these words. Even so, the choices were many and the chosen are solid. I always say "Enjoy!", but this time (and the time after that, and the time after that) I really think you will.  ~  JH

Yeah, I know. Some of you are still like, "WHO?")

Songs About Dancing, Vol. 1

When you've done as many music posts as I have over the past several years, it becomes increasingly more difficult each time to find something you haven't explored before. Songs about dancing (or more precisely, with the word "dance" or one of its many derivatives in the titles) seems an obvious choice – but as it turns out, I've never done it before! When I recently got the notion to post "Dancing" songs, I didn't realize (though I probably should have) how many good ones there were. Here are but a few of the ones I found. There will be future volumes of these as well. Enjoy!  ~  JH

1)  Daft Punk ft. Pharrell Williams  ~  "Lose Yourself To Dance"

7)  Milky Chance  ~  "Stolen Dance"

8)  Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga  ~  "I Won't Dance"

9)  Garth Brooks  ~  "The Dance"  (It's almost impossible to find music videos of Garth on YouTube – by his design, I believe. Live performances are scant also and are usually of dubious quality. But this video of one of his best songs, defies the norm. Great song, great quality!)

11)  Van Halen  ~  "Dance The Night Away"

12)  The Bird And The Bee  ~  "Will You Dance?"
