Songs With The Letters Of The Alphabet In Their Titles

If, after reading the title of this post, you are arching your eyebrows in my direction at the inanity of it all, please let me explain. Yes, of course, all songs with words in their titles use the letters of the alphabet to form those words. However, some songs use a single letter (not a full word) somewhere in their title – and those are the ones I'm showcasing here. For example, Ed Sheeran's "The A Team," Pachelbel's "Canon In D," and MC Hammer's "U Can't Touch This," just to name a few. Songs About Crying

Today begins a loosely-related-but-not-really-related series of posts that I thought up over the weekend. We'll start with Songs About Crying, then progress to Songs About Flying, Songs About Lying, Songs About Trying, and maybe even Songs About Dying. The only thing that ties these together is that their titles rhyme. Each post will include a collection of songs with the word from the post's title (or one of its derivatives) in its songs' titles. Get it? Got it? Good! Enjoy!  ~  JH

1)  Roy Orbison  ~  "Crying"

2)  Fergie  ~  "Big Girls Don't Cry (Personal)"

3)  The Script  ~  "We Cry"

4)  Mariah Carey  ~  "I Don't Wanna Cry"

5)  Aerosmith  ~  "Cryin'"

6)  Faith Hill  ~  "Cry"

7)  Chris Isaak  ~  "Somebody's Crying"

8)  Barbra Streisand & Ray Charles  ~  "Crying Time"

9)  Flo Rida  ~  "I Cry"

10)  Highway 101  ~  "Cry, Cry, Cry"  (Back in the late '80s, or maybe it was the early '90s, when I was a big-time fan of The Judds [see #12 below], I saw this band open for them at Kings Dominion. They were really good, too!)

11)  Guns N' Roses  ~  "Don't Cry"

12)  The Judds  ~  "Cry Myself To Sleep"  (Peep some of these 1980s hairdos – in the audience AND onstage. Wow…just, wow!)

14)  Katy B  ~  "Crying For No Reason"

15)  Live  ~  "Dolphin's Cry"

16)  Madonna  ~  "Don't Cry For Me, Argentina"  (I have no idea why the song starts over without sound around the 5:00 mark…but feel free to stop it there. Nothing new to see after that.)

17)  Cee Lo Green  ~  "Cry Baby"  (If you were wondering, yes, that IS the guy who played Steve Urkel on Family Matters.)

18)  Sheryl Crow  ~  "Can't Cry Anymore"
