Songs About Dolphins

This is just what it looks like. A post featuring Songs About...Dolphins, of all things. Why? Because...I couldn't think of a good enough reason NOT to, that's why! Enjoy?  ~  JH

2)  Delta Sleep  ~  “Spy Dolphin”

3)  Enigma  ~  “The Dream Of The Dolphin”

9)  Herbie Hancock  ~  “Dolphin Dance”  (I was 13 minutes into this song before I realized it still hadn’t ended. Turns out, it’s a 41-minute piece. Hang with it if you wish – I’m sure it’s phenomenal – but I was done at 13 minutes.)

11)  Live  ~  “Dolphin’s Cry”

12)  The Donkeys  ~  “Dolphin Center”

23)  Tim Buckley  ~  “Dolphins”

24)  The Moffs  ~  “The Dolphin And I”

25)  Lee Ritenour & Dave Grusin  ~  “Dolphin Dreams”

BONUS TRACK:  Regina Spektor  ~  “Folding Chair”  (No, the word “Dolphin” doesn’t appear anywhere in the title of this song. But one of the verses directly refers to them, then Regina barks like a dolphin in time with the music. So…it simply HAD TO be here!)

"Natural" & "Unnatural" Songs

Let's take a break from the ever-popular (by # of clicks at least) but seemingly endless series of "Popular Songs Of..." posts, and return to the somewhat-popular (but not as much so) world of "Opposites" posts. I had several good "Natural" songs I wanted to explore, but the songs for its (natural) opposite – "Unnatural" – were somewhat limited. So this is technically a two-part "Opposites" post. This time, "Natural" and "Unnatural" songs. Next time, "Natural" and "Artificial" songs (think ingredients). Ready or not, here they are...enjoy!  ~  JH

14)  Voter Kernel  ~  “Unnatural Gathering Of Animals”

15)  Aretha Franklin  ~  “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman”
