"Mother" Songs

It would be inaccurate to say that this is a collection of songs about mothers in honor of Mother's Day this Sunday. While most of the songs in this collection are about someone's actual mother, some are using the word "mother" metaphorically to represent a matriarchal idea. So what we actually have here is an eclectic collection of songs which just happen to have the word "mother" in their titles. That being said, there's some good stuff here. Enjoy!  ~  JH

1)  CHVRCHES  ~  "The Mother We Share"

2)  Tracy Bonham  ~  "Mother Mother"

3)  Era  ~  "Mother"

4)  Mr. T  ~  "Treat Your Mother Right"  (I know I just posted this "classic" song back in January, but it's worth a repeat!)

5)  Christina Aguilera  ~  "Oh Mother"

6)  The Dead Weather  ~  "Treat Me Like Your Mother"

7)  ABBA  ~  "Does Your Mother Know?"

8)  Lauren Alaina  ~  "Like My Mother Does"

9)  Bon Jovi  ~  "If I Was Your Mother"

10)  Journey  ~  "Mother, Father"

11)  Lil' Mo  ~  "Mother Of Your Child"  (Oh, snap! She told HIM!)
