All The "Feels", Vol. 1

There's a lot of talk about "Feels" these days. In case you're not familiar with the term, an Urban Dictionary user defines "feels" (or specifically, "the feels") as "a wave of emotions that sometimes cannot be adequately explained." That suits this set of songs – and the three sets that will follow it in the next few days – to a T. True, these songs have but one thing in common – the word "Feels" in their titles – but the emotions conveyed throughout them truly run the gamut. So, don't be afraid to catch "feels"...and enjoy!  ~  JH

More “Forbidden” Songs

Every now and then, I have what I think is an original idea for a music post, then I go back into my “vault” of old posts and realize I’ve already done that topic before. Such is the case with this post, which features songs with the word “Forbidden” in their titles. I originally did a “Forbidden” Songs post over three years ago. However, upon recent reflection, I realized that post was comprised entirely of songs by artists that no one – myself included! – had ever heard of before. I knew I could do better. And so I did. Enjoy!  ~  JH

“Mad” Songs, Vol. 2

As promised, here's part 2 of 2 featuring songs with the word "Mad" in the title. Don't get mad...just enjoy!  ~  JH

1)  Puddles Pity Party & Haley Reinhart  ~  “Mad World”  (Mmkay, so this is the same root song as the Tears For Fears classic in Vol. 1, but it's completely different when performed in a neo-vaudeville style. Especially when the singers are a seven-foot-tall clown with golden pipes and a feisty young songstress with exemplary lungs of her own.)

11)  The Veronicas  ~  “Mad Love”

12)  The Waterboys  ~  “Mad As The Mist & Snow”

13)  Jasmine Thompson  ~  “Mad World”  (Yes, this is another version of the Tears For Fears song, and no, I didn't run out of good songs to pick. I just liked all three versions for different reasons, and couldn't leave any one of them out.)
