Songs About Horses

I just know I will have missed someone's favorite song about horses, or will have included a least-favorite version of someone's favorite song about horses, and that's okay. I don't claim this to be a comprehensive list, but I do think it's a pretty good one. Equestrian enthusiasts – and everyone else, too – on your mark, get set, enjoy!  ~  JH

1)  Alicia Keys & Adam Levine  ~  "Wild Horses"

2)  U2  ~  "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses"

3)  Scissor Sisters  ~  "Only The Horses"

4)  Switchfoot  ~  "Dark Horses"

5)  Tori Amos  ~  "Beauty Queen/Horses"

6)  Andrew Bird  ~  "Three White Horses"

7)  Moby  ~  "Pale Horses"

8)  Ellie Goulding  ~  "Guns And Horses"

9)  Asking Alexandria  ~  "If You Can't Ride Two Horses At Once…You Should Get Out Of The Circus"  (I absolutely abhor "screamo" music, but this song's title was far too ridiculous for me not to include it here.)

10)  PJ Harvey  ~  "Horses In My Dreams"

11)  Elton John ft. Luciano Pavarotti  ~  "Live Like Horses"

12)  Toby Keith ft. Willie Nelson  ~  "Beer For My Horses"  (This video's cheesy as all-get-out, and Toby couldn't act his way out of a Stetson hat, but the song's pretty good.)

13)  Bat For Lashes  ~  "Horse And I"

14)  America  ~  "A Horse With No Name"

15)  Belinda Carlisle  ~  "Runaway Horses"

16)  John Denver  ~  "Eagles And Horses"

17)  Charlotte Church  ~  "The Little Horses"

18)  The Osmonds  ~  "Crazy Horses"  (Hands down, the weirdest song and the strangest dancing in the bunch!)

19)  The Cardigans  ~  "A Good Horse"

20)  Nazareth  ~  "All The King's Horses"

21)   Shakira  ~  "Poem To A Horse"  (And the runner-up for weirdest title in the post goes to…Shakira!)

22)  Johnny Horton  ~  "Comanche (The Brave Horse)"

23)  Willie Nelson ft. Merle Haggard  ~  "A Horse Called Music"  (Because you can never really have too much Willie Nelson…)

24)  Jethro Tull  ~  "Heavy Horses"

25)  Cowboy Junkies  ~  "A Horse In The Country"
