Songs About Yesterday, Vol. 1

Today begins a new 6-part series. I know what you're probably thinking. Groan! Not another miniseries! But this one's going to be good, I promise. Turns out, in all the music blogging I've done over the past few years, I've never dedicated a set of songs to the subjects of "Yesterday," "Today," and "Tomorrow." It's high time I did so. There are so many wonderful songs to choose from which contain one or more of these words in their titles, so I had to include a bunch. There's 40 songs for each word, split up into posts of 20 each. "Naked" Songs

Merriam-Webster provides a wide variety of definitions for the word "naked." The most common meaning is "not covered by clothing." However, "naked" can also mean "lacking embellishment," "unarmed [or] defenseless," "devoid of concealment or disguise," as well as "unaided by any optical device or instrument." These secondary definitions of "naked" abound in the lyrics of these songs. Indeed, despite its title, this post is about as "PG" as it gets. Sorry to disappoint some of you. And I'm glad I didn't let the rest of you down. Enjoy?  ~  JH

The only hard part about selecting this group of songs – all of which contain the word "See" in their titles – was deciding which great songs NOT to include. Seriously, this list could've been twice as long as it is. But it isn't, because I like you, and because my time is limited.
